Stolen Lunches is a faith community where real people have real conversations about God. No pressure. No performance. Just people who show up, receive something they needed, and keep coming back.

We have five different groups — a men's Bible study, a women's Bible study, a couples group, a Wednesday morning prayer call, and a community outreach that hits the streets of Charlotte every first Saturday.

You pick the one that fits your life right now. Most people start with one and find their way to others. Some people do all five.

How It Started

A Lunch Break.
A Yes to God.
Twelve Years Later.

In August 2014, eight women gave up their lunch break to be fed by something greater. No program. No budget. No plan. Just a table and a yes to God.

That yes became Stolen Lunches — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit now serving hundreds of families every month across Charlotte and beyond.

Founded by Fly Ty and Jacinda Jacobs, we exist for one reason: to give people who feel too busy no excuse not to be fed by God.

Here's How This Usually Goes.

You show up once to see what it's about. You come back because something happened in that room. Then one day, you stop just receiving — and you start showing up to give. That's the Stolen Lunches story. For a lot of people, not just us.

Every first Saturday morning, Stolen Lunches volunteers gather at the McCrorey YMCA and go out into the streets of Charlotte. We fill bags with nonperishable food, hygiene products, clothing, blankets, bus passes, resource cards, and hand-written love letters. Then we go deliver them — person to person. No distance. No buffer. Every month. For 12 years. Without fail.
